Movement & Strength

Make an Impact — Literally!

When it comes to bone health, we've had it backwards for decades.
We should be focusing on building strong bones when we're teenagers and in our early 20s — that's when our bodies are best at "laying down good bone". But most of us don't even think about it until we hit menopause.

That's ridiculous, right?

So please, share this with the young girls and women in your life.
Start jumping. Start now.

Even if that window has passed (for most of us it has!), it's never too late to benefit from a little bit of impact. Jumping, hopping, skipping, and even stomping and clapping, believe it or not — all of it helps protect against further bone loss and activates your fast-twitch muscle fibers, too.

And if you remember from past newsletters, those fast-twitch fibers are key for balance, coordination, and fall prevention. Just a few minutes of impact work a few times a week can do your body a world of good.

I remember back in my gym fitness instructor days, we did high impact exercise constantly — and then it became a dirty word. "Too dangerous", people said. And sure, pounding away on concrete for hours every day wasn't great.

But somewhere along the way, the message got twisted.
Impact isn't the enemy — it's a vital ingredient for staying strong, agile, and resilient.

So this week, let's make an impact — literally.
Hop, skip, jump, dance...your bones (and your future self) will thank you.

Join me for small group training this week. It'll be fun and functional, with the right kind of impact to keep your body strong. Just use the button below or visit my website and register to book your spot in class.

Prefer one-on-one training? Email, call, or text me and we'll design a plan that builds strength safely and effectively.

Movement is a gift — and impact is part of what keeps that gift alive. Let's keep moving with purpose, strength, and joy.
