Progress Isn't Linear

We love to think of progress as a straight line — each week stronger, faster, fitter, better. But the real truth? Real progress looks more like a zigzag than an arrow.

Some days you'll feel unstoppable.
Other days, heavy weights feel heavier.
Sometimes you'll see the scale drop. Then bounce back up.

And that's normal.

Growth doesn't happen in a straight line — it happens in cycles. Every dip, every plateau, every "off" day is part of the process that eventually moves you forward.

  • Struggled through a workout? That still made you stronger.
  • Took a rest day when your body needed it? That's progress, too.
  • Didn't hit a personal best today? You still showed up — and that matters.

The key is consistency, not perfection. What feels like a step back is often your body and mind adjusting so you can leap further ahead later.

So, if you're in a season where progress feels slow or messy, don't quit. Trust the process. The work you put in is always adding up — even when you can't see it yet.
